- Educational support for pursuing advanced degrees and acquiring national professional certifications
- Encouragement to take on leadership roles and respond to global hospital issues

Nursing professional practice model (PPM)
Our PPM is the conceptual framework we have established for our nurses, nursing care and interprofessional care, depicting how our nurses professionally practice, collaborate and develop.
The PPM also illustrates the alignment and integration of nursing practice with the mission, vision, values and philosophy that nursing has adopted. We create and sustain a culture of quality and care that continually reflects that "Above all else we are committed to the care and improvement of human life."
The Outer Circle of our PPM focuses on quality outcomes, evidenced-based research, collaboration, shared governance and professional development. The Inner Circle of our PPM includes ideas such as holistic health, commitment, integrity and compassion.
Mobile simulation team
Our women's and children's mobile simulation team delivers advanced medical training across Southeast Texas. We work to improve our medical outcomes for women and children by offering collaborative simulation training to healthcare providers working in clinics, emergency medical services (EMS) and hospitals.
Led by a program director and supported by dedicated staff members, we provide true-to-life medical scenarios. Our simulation technology replicates complex maternal and pediatric conditions, and can follow a patient's entire journey through the healthcare system.
Each training scenario is personalized to meet specific organizational needs, and follows best practices established by the International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). Please contact our outreach education department to book a visit.
