About us
Since 1976, the compassionate doctors, nurses and specialists at our hospital have met the varied healthcare needs of women in all stages of life.
Woman-centered healthcare
Every woman is one of a kind. We know that one-size healthcare does not fit all, so we create personalized plans to meet your unique needs.
Our hospital's history
Our hospital was founded in 1976 by 29 physicians who recognized a need in Houston for a facility focused solely on women. Our founders specifically chose to name the hospital Woman’s — not Women’s — to honor each individual woman we treat, as well as the personal attention they receive.
Today, we are the state’s premier facility, comprised of several doctors’ offices, specialty clinics and an outpatient surgical center, all dedicated to the health of women and children.
A proud member of the HCA Houston Healthcare system
We were the first women's hospital in Houston and first facility in Texas dedicated to the health of women and newborns. Now, as a member of the HCA Houston Healthcare family of hospitals, we are a part of the largest healthcare system in both the region and the nation. Together we are stronger, smarter and more accessible in providing the patient-centered care you need. Here, our doctors and caregivers encourage you to manage your care plan and seek out the comprehensive services in our network that meet your unique needs.
