Last year more women chose to have their babies at The Woman's Hospital of Texas than at any other hospital in the Houston area. They wanted the one-on-one nursing care that we provide to each laboring patient. From normal pregnancies to high-risk pregnancies, we have the technology and medical expertise to provide the exceptional care each of our patients needs. There is always a board-certified OB/Gyn in the hospital - just in case. We also have Anesthesiologists and Neonatologists here around the clock.

The Woman's Hospital of Texas specializes in high-risk prenatal care. The Woman's Hospital has a comprehensive antepartum unit where women, who must spend part of their pregnancy on bed rest, receive special attention. Each mother is cared for as an individual at Woman's. The skilled and caring staff works to make your stay comfortable during a time that can be very stressful.

Pre-existing health issues such as diabetes, high blood pressure and pulmonary problems can result in a high-risk pregnancy. Other risk factors include mothers who carry multiple babies (twins, triplets, quadruplets or more) and those women who have not been able to carry a pregnancy to term.
